Air Pressure Test
The air pressure test can be performed in up to three steps, each testing a different part of the lateral. First, the entire lateral is tested, and if the pressure holds for specified time (e.g., one minute), the pipe has passed the test and no further testing of this lateral is needed. If the lateral fails the test, the lower lateral is isolated and tested. If the lower lateral passes the test, the defects are on the upper lateral and no further testing of this lateral is needed. However, if the lower lateral fails the test, the upper lateral still needs to be tested.
